On The Job Training (Week 2)

Second Week  Day 5 (February 11, 2025) On Day 5 of this week, we continued digitizing progress report documents provided by our mentor. In the afternoon, we had a discussion with Ma’am Llovido regarding the plans and necessary steps to initiate and complete our mentorship plan. We also addressed concerns about the current system development that we will be supporting. Day 6 (February 12, 2025) On the sixth day, our focus was mainly on scanning documents and consulting the previous batch regarding the system’s progress. We also had a discussion with Ma’am Joy about the possibility of refactoring the system. While she acknowledged that it was feasible, the looming deadline posed a significant challenge. To gain more insight, we reached out to the former OJT students, and they told the same concern. On-The-Job-Training (Week 1)

 First Week Day 1 The first day of our on-the-job training (OJT) was a mix of excitement and nervousness as we stepped into a new environment. We began by meeting our mentors, introducing ourselves, and getting to know them. Shortly after, we attended the orientation where Computer Science (CS) students presented their ongoing project in RDMD—one that we would be assisting with throughout our training. Following the demonstration, another orientation took place, where we were assigned tasks based on our skills and expertise. This allowed us to see where we could contribute and what we would be learning. Afterward, we took a group photo with the CS students and had a discussion about their system, gaining insights into its development and future improvements.
