On The Job Training (Week 6)

6th Week

This week, we continued working on the system and decided to stay in the conference room to talk more freely while working. I made some changes to the Login Forms and worked on coding the Forgot Password page. We also organized the system’s assets like images by sorting them based on the pages they belong to. This helps us find and update them more easily. The next day, we finished coding the Hero Section with a working carousel and added some items to the Navigation Menu. We also started using a project management app called Plane to track our tasks better by placing them in "Todo," "In Progress," and "Done" sections.



For the rest of the week, we made a mix of small and big changes to the system. We polished design elements like dropdowns and the Hero Section and added functions in the backend for creating divisions and articles, although they aren’t shown on the website yet. We adjusted the Create Article modal and the Admin Sidebar by fixing hover effects and adding icons. Some bugs in the article and division tables were also fixed. Near the end of the week, I worked on fixing display issues in the Testimony Section image and continued resolving hover bugs in the Admin Sidebar. I also added a "show password" option to the login forms and updated routes for the new Admin pages.

On-The-Job-Training (Week 1)

 First Week Day 1 The first day of our on-the-job training (OJT) was a mix of excitement and nervousness as we stepped into a new environment. We began by meeting our mentors, introducing ourselves, and getting to know them. Shortly after, we attended the orientation where Computer Science (CS) students presented their ongoing project in RDMD—one that we would be assisting with throughout our training. Following the demonstration, another orientation took place, where we were assigned tasks based on our skills and expertise. This allowed us to see where we could contribute and what we would be learning. Afterward, we took a group photo with the CS students and had a discussion about their system, gaining insights into its development and future improvements. On The Job Training (Week 9)

 9th Week This week, we continued working on the CMS using WordPress. On Monday, we made changes to the Division Pages like RDMD, PKMD, IPMD, EMD, and the centers. Instead of making separate “About Us” pages for each sub-division, we just added their details to the main division pages. This made the site easier to use and more organized. Since Tuesday was a holiday, we had a break from our OJT and resumed work on Wednesday. On Wednesday, we worked from home because of a power outage in the office. We used Discord to talk to each other and Messenger to reach out to the CSSP students. We spent the day adding content to the CMS as we waited for the materials made by CSSP. On Friday, we added more content and updated the “Historical Background” section. Since all divisions had the same background, we placed it on the homepage. Later that day, we also helped move some shelves and papers around the office. After that, we were treated to some pizza as thanks.
